THE HUNT

Early morning, after a full breakfast, we drive 5 to 45 min. to the field where the guides will have the blinds set and cases of shells ready.

About half hour after daylight, clouds of doves will start swarming all over you. There is no way to describe the dove hunt; you must see it to believe.

The birds will fly all day long, but anyway we take a break for lunch in the field or at the lodge.

From April to August, we shoot the feeding paddocks or the flyway between them and the roost. The rest of the year we shoot by the roost all day long.

This is the highest volume shooting ever seen; the use of shoulder pads and semiautomatic guns and a loader are highly recommended.

The limit is set by the hunter; there are always more birds than you can possibly shoot.

THE LODGE

Posada del Bolacua is a magnificent resort and spa, with 30 comfortable rooms, in a wonderful tropical garden with native and exotic birds. The spa has an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and massages room, you can enjoy to relief after a high volume shooting day.

Other amenities are the two bars, one at the main hall and the second one by the outdoor swimming pool, two tennis courts and the archery range.

All of the rooms have private bathrooms, immaculate cleanness, WIFI, TV with some English speaking channels and offer king or queen size beds.

The excellence of the cuisine and the bartender's skills and liquor variety in the open bar make the culinary experience a real add on to the hunting experience.

This area is quite warm in summer (January and February).

December to February the temperatures may reach the 90’s during the day cooling down at night. These months we spend the noon hours by the swimming pool at the lodge unless you wish to continue shooting.

March and April (Fall): 65º F to 80º, with some rain.

June, July and August (Winter): 35º F to 65º F. Cool mornings and warm days. Dry.

September, October and November (Spring): 65º F to 85º F, with some rain.

SAMPLE PROGRAM

DAY 1: Early morning arrival into International airport in Buenos Aires.

Our host will greet you and provide assistance through customs.
Land ransportation (2 ½ hr) to the lodge.
Full afternoon dove shooting.
Overnight at the Posada del Bolacua.

DAY 2 and 3: Two full days of high volume dove shooting.

DAY 4: Morning dove hunt, with time enough to clean up and pack at the lodge. Van transportation to the international airport (2 ½ hrs.).
